Interdisziplinäre Multimodale Schmerztherapie
Zusammenfassung: In Deutschland lässt sich bei Patienten mit chronischen Kopf-, Rücken- und Nervenschmerzen ein unsystematisches und oft von Zufällen geleitetes Vorgehen konstatieren. Bei längerer Beschwerdedauer ist meist eine befundorientierte multimodale Schmerztherapie indiziert und auch Erfolg versprechend: Studien zeigen einen nachhaltigen Behandlungserfolg stationärer und teilstationärer Konzepte. Moderne Schmerzmedizin geht dabei über eine reine analgetische Therapie weit hinaus und beinhaltet eine strukturierte somatopsychische Diagnostik, konkret eine neuro-orthopädisch-funktionelle und eine psychologische Untersuchung, woraus ein ganzheitliches Behandlungskonzept erstellt wird. Das Behandlungskonzept ist zwar vorwiegend aktivierend orientiert, darin integrierte manuelle bzw. osteopathische Behandlungsverfahren oder auch Interventionen sind hier eine gute Ergänzung und kein Widerspruch.

When chronic pain persists during a long time, often a multimodal treatment approach is indicated. Studies show a sustainable effect for these concepts. Modern pain medicine goes far beyond analgesic medication und consists mainly in a structured somatopsychic diagnoses, e.g. a neuro-orthopaedic-functional physical exploration and a psychologic exploration, leading to a holistic treatment concept. The concept is orientated mainly active, but interventions could be a complement rather than a contradiction.
