Hintergrund: Die Annahme, dass die Adaptierung des vorderen Kreuzbands nicht mit den Ergebnissen einer Kreuzbandersatzplastik vergleichbar sei, erscheint unberechtigt.
Patienten/Material und Methoden: Zwischen 1988 und 2011 wurden 279 Patienten mit einer Ruptur des vorderen Kreuzbands mittels Adaptierung arthroskopisch operiert. 152 Patienten mit einem Durchschnittsalter von 36 Jahren konnten befragt werden.
Ergebnisse: Bei funktioneller Weiterbehandlung entstanden in 80% der Fälle stabile Kniegelenke.
Schlussfolgerung: Die operativen Ergebnisse der Adaptierung sind mit denen der Kreuzbandersatzplastik vergleichbar.

Background: The assumption, that the adaption of the anterior cruciate ligament is not comparable to the results of a cruciate ligament reconstruction appears unjustified.
Patients/material und methods: Between 1988 and 2011, 279 patients with a ruptur of the anterior cruciated ligament were treated with an arthroscopic adaption. 152 patients with an average age of 36 years could be checked.
Results: Using a functional postoperative treatment, in 80% of cases the knee joints were stable.
Conclusion: The operative results using the adaption of the anterior cruciament ligament are comparable to the results of ligament reconstruction.
