Ballonkyphoplastie und konservative Therapie bei traumatischen Frakturen der Brust- und Lendenwirbelsäule
Zusammenfassung: Die Ballonkyphoplastie ist eine effiziente Therapieoption zur Behandlung von Wirbelkörperfrakturen. Sie ermöglicht eine schnelle Frakturstabilisierung und eine rasche postoperative Schmerzreduktion. Alternativ zur Ballonkyphoplastie besteht das Konzept der konservativen Therapie. Ziel dieser Arbeit war der Vergleich des Therapieerfolgs zwischen Ballonkyphoplastie und konservativer Therapie in der Behandlung von frischen, stabilen, traumatischen Wirbelkörperfrakturen der Brust- und Lendenwirbelsäule.
Aus den Ergebnissen kann gefolgert werden, dass im untersuchten Patientengut das Outcome durch die Ballonkyphoplastie dem der konservativen Therapie überlegen ist. Dies zeigt sich an einem höheren Körperfunktionsstatus in den Aktivitäten des täglichen Lebens sowie einer geringeren Schmerzintensität und kann durch die Verbesserung objektiver radiomorphologischer Parameter zusätzlich belegt werden.
Summary: Balloon kyphoplasty is an effective therapy option for the treatment of vertebral body fractures. It enables rapid fracture stabilization and rapid postoperative pain reduction. Alternatively, there is the concept of conservative therapy. The aim of this work was the comparison of the therapeutic success between balloon kyphoplasty and conservative therapy in the treatment of fresh stable traumatic vertebral body fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine.
From the results it can be concluded that in the examined patients the outcome of balloon kyphoplasty is superior to that of conservative therapy. This is proven by a higher body function status in the activities of daily life, as well as a lower pain intensity and can be further demonstrated by the improvement of objective radiomorphological parameters.
