Interventionelle diagnostische und therapeutische Maßnahmen in der MRT

Zusammenfassung:

Summary: Radiological guided minimal invasive procedures help patients to recover earlier and reduce traumatic harm to the surrounding tissue in the operative field. High resolution and short examination times make the CT a perfect instrument for such interventions. Looking at the long resting lifetimes of children it is obvious to reduce x-ray exposition to a minimum during medical treatment. Furthermore there are many bone pathologies which are not visible in normal x-ray- or CT-diagnostic, making MRI imaging a reasonable diagnostic feature in childhood. On the other hand minimal invasive procedures help patients to recover earlier and reduce traumatic harm to the tissue, which is surrounding the operative field. For this reasons we developed an algorithm, in which MRI supported minimal invasive diagnostics and interventions can be done. In this paper we describe 7 therapeutic and 1 interventional minimal invasive procedure, which we performed MRI guided between 01/2016 and 03/2018 in our hospital. We had no major complication. Recurrence of an osteoidosteoma could be successfully treated with a second intervention.
