Verschiedene Modelle der inversen Schulterprothese haben erste vielversprechende Ergebnisse geliefert. Doch mit der steigenden Anzahl der Nachuntersuchungen fällt der Fokus auf die prothesenspezifischen Komplikationen. Die Equinoxe reverse Schulterprothese versucht mit biomechanischen Innovationen einen Lösungsvorschlag zu bieten. Die Langzeitergebnisse bleiben jedoch abzuwarten.
Abstract: Insufficient rotator cuffs in association with proximal humeral fractures and arthritic rotator cuff deficiencies have posed a great challenge on shoulder arthroplasty. Different types of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) have shown promising results. With an increasing number of follow-up studies, the RTSA specific complications have been shifted into the spotlight. The Equinoxe reverse shoulder arthroplasty is trying to approach them with biomechanical innovations. Yet long term results are still pending.
